researchlatest projectSince 2009 I gained research leave from the Art Museums of Bergen, executing the research project "Mishmash and Trash - Museum Collecting in the Age of Virtuality", a part of K-value, a project supervised by Bergen National College of Art, and financed by the Norwegian Research Council's research program "Kulver". Is virtual collecting a relevant strategy for making ephemeral collectibles "eternal"?My aim is to explore theoretically and practically if virtual collected volatile objects can be experienced as valuable and equivalent as the real objects already collected. The conclusions will be an integrated part of the West Norway Museum of Decorative Art's collection strategy. Project presentation: Ting, tang, trash (pdf - Norwegian only) latest contributions
